  1. Becky Elgin,
Thank you for your work with wolves. Sad news has me questioning Len McIrvin and how he can get away with killing our Profanity Peak grey wolves? Any ideas for action to save the poor animals? thanks much, Sally Beers, Albuquerque, NM

    • Hi Sally,

Thanks for your message and for reading my blog. Many of us are wondering the same thing about the Profanity Peak pack. There certainly are no simple answers, but this is the third pack that has been targeted by Washington Dept. Fish and Wildlife in a four year period. With so few wolves in their state, this seems like a lot of lethal removal to me.

As far as actions, I know that Brett Haverstick is organizing a rally in Olympia to speak up against the killing of the pack. It is scheduled for tomorrow. Here is the FB link: https://www.facebook.com/events/590116031172455/
I know that is a long ways from NM. I do feel it is helpful to keep the pressure on the Fish and Wildlife folks. They need to know we do not see lethal removal as the best option so calling or writing them is perhaps our best recourse right now.

Thanks again. Wish I had more helpful advice!
